Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is the perfect treatment for those who want to become hair-free for years with minimum maintenance. Can you imagine not having to worry about hair growth in unwanted places anymore at all? The triple diode laser machine is the safest and most advanced laser method on the market and we can’t wait for you to see the amazing results for yourself. Unlike most outdated laser methods, the triple diode laser machine can treat customers of skin colors 1-6, and all pigmented hair, even blonde and red pigment might be possible. We recommend that you book a free consultation with us.

Laser hair removal can be performed on the following body areas and you can find more specific treatments on our booking platform.

  • Face

  • Whole arms

  • Armpits

  • Chest/abdomen

  • Back/neck

  • Brazilian/intimate areas

  • Whole leg

  • Upper body

  • Lower body

Typically 4-10 treatments times, regularly and every month, without pauses are necessary for an area to become hair-free. Maintenance visits of about 1-2 times a year after the treatment is completed are often needed too to keep the area hair-free.

How does the treatment work?

We recommend all our new laser customers to start with booking a free laser consultation where she/he together with the beautician will go over the complete individual laser plan.

When the laser treatment begins a cold gel is applied to the skin and then the diode laser is moved back and forth with small intense pulses of light. A so-called Collimated lens delivers a direct wave of laser energy without loss and side scattering, which means that the energy only reaches the hair follicle where it is heated and does not affect the surrounding tissue. Unlike the IPL laser and other less advanced methods, the diode laser has double built-in cooling, which makes it almost painless.

Hair removal takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on which body areas and how many areas are treated.

Further information

The laser light passes through the skin and heats up pigments in the hair. The heat spreads from the hair down to the hair roots, which are heated up to approx. 70°C and thereby permanently destroyed (permanent hair reduction). The temperature in the hair roots is determined by the dose of the laser light. In order to achieve an optimal result with the hair removal, with the least possible risk of side effects, it is important to adapt the dose to the skin and hair color. Compared to other hair removal methods, the risk of skin damage is small. The diode laser's built-in cooling system cools the skin during the treatment. The temperature in the hair roots, on the other hand, is not affected by the cooling. Similar to other laser or IPL systems, the diode laser only works on hair follicles that are in the growth phase.

You get results after every treatment. For the next 10-20 days it will appear that the hair is still growing. That is normal and quickly after that, hair will fall out in patches due to the different growth cycles of the hair.

How is the skin affected by the treatment?

Often the skin does not react visibly at all, but it’s also not very uncommon to get some skin redness and a little swelling. In some cases, occasional water blisters are seen which disappear spontaneously within a week or so. It is important not to scratch or tear the blisters because they can then become infected and cause scarring.

The treated skin area should not be exposed to strong sunlight for at least two weeks, this is important to minimize the risk of pigment changes of the skin. It is good to soothe the skin with cooling balm or Aloe Vera gel if the skin feels irritated. This should be done immediately after the treatment so that any heat development does not spread. The balm or gel should lie on the skin until the heat subsides and should be applied in a thick layer, repeatedly if necessary.

Pre Care

  • The area to be treated must be clean-shaven. Unshaven clients will be rescheduled.

  • Avoid UV exposure 7 days prior to your treatment.

  • Clients who are sunburned or tanned must wait 2 weeks before being treated to avoid additional skin damage.

  • Avoid sunless tanning products 7 days prior to your treatment.

  • Clients should come to appointments with clean skin in the area to be treated.

  • Avoid chemical peels and other laser procedures in the area to be treated for 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after your laser treatment.

  • Avoid all alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxyl products (AHA/BHA), hydroquinone, retinol/retinoid 7 days before treatment.

  • Clients with any abnormal lesions, moles or spots on the area to be treated must be cleared by a medical practitioner prior to

treatment. The moles/spots will be covered by your beautician but if they are big or uneven they will not be lasered over. Also tattoos will not be lasered over because it will ruin them.

  • Clients must stop waxing, tweezing and chemical epilation 3 weeks prior to treatment.

  • Clients who have used Accutane or similar products within the last 6 months CANNOT have laser hair removal treatments.

  • The client should not perform any physical activity that increases body temperature or blood pressure within 2 hours before and after treatments.

  • If you have any type of dermal fillers in the area to be treated, wait 14 days both before and after injection to receive treatments.

  • Antibiotics may increase sensitivity. We recommend that you check with your personal doctor prior to receiving laser treatments if you are taking a long-term antibiotic. If you become ill and begin taking an antibiotic, you will need to be off the medication for 7 days before laser treatment.

Post Care

  • It's important that you do not pluck or wax any hair on the area that was treated. By doing so, you will disrupt the treatment process which may lead to potential stimulation of the hair follicle, in other words, you could potentially spark regrowth.

  • Exfoliate the area once any redness subsides, approximately 1-2 weeks after your laser hair removal appointment. The same also regards shaving, wait at least 1 week to prevent skin irritation.

  • Avoid very hot showers or baths for at least 48 hours after the treatment.

  • If discoloration/pigmentation occurs to the affected area, apply vitamin E to encourage soothing of the skin.

  • Avoid direct sunlight for at least 2-4 weeks after the treatment.

  • If you have undergone laser hair removal in a facial area, mineral makeup may be applied within the first 48 hours, but other cosmetics should be avoided until the skin has had time to heal.

  • Keep away from deodorants for at least 3 days to avoid causing irritation.

  • Whilst it's not uncommon to experience itching, it's important not to scratch the affected area. Scratching may result in scarring.

  • Give your body 24-48 hours rest from excessive exercise, the gym or the sauna as these can all cause irritation.

  • Undergoing laser hair removal treatment can be a pleasant experience that delivers a flawless result, but much of this depends on your own ability to provide your skin with essential care both before and after.
